I'm thrilled to have author Adele Downs as a guest today to celebrate the release of her HOT new book from Entangled Publishing SANTA TO THE RESCUE. No better way to warm you up around the holidays than a fireman. Jamey Tucker, the hero in this book was so kind to answer a few questions
Enjoy!! And enjoy the book. I'm a huge fan of Adele! I'm sure you'll be too when you check out her books.
Check out the GIVEAWAY Adele is having at her website. Details at the end of the blog post!!!

Q. Jamey Tucker, hero of SANTA TO THE RESCUE by Adele Downs, what makes you so special?

     A. Thanks for hosting me on your blog and calling me special! I’m just a rookie firefighter with the Appleton Fire Station in Pennsylvania apple orchard country, standing by to protect the safety of the families in our community. If that makes me special, I’m happy to be of service.

Q. Do you have special skills or abilities?

     A. I guess growing up in a household filled with sisters made me see how important it is for a man to keep his word. When someone disappointed one of my sisters, or they faced a setback, I learned to stay cool instead of busting a few heads. Staying calm under pressure became an asset to my job. That life skill helped me in my personal relationships and my role as a first responder. Having sisters taught me to be a better man.

Q. Tell us about your most current adventure.

     A. The crew at Appleton Fire Station likes nothing better than to break rookie… uh, let’s just say they like to challenge the new guy. How they test me and decide whether or not I’ll make the grade at Appleton Fire Station is at the center of SANTA TO THE RESCUE.

Q. Tell us a little bit about your author. Where can we find more of her works? And if you could offer your author advice, what would it be?

    A. Adele says SANTA TO THE RESCUE is appropriate for readers from Young Adult to the Senior Center and she hopes will become a reader holiday favorite. Her next story, KISSING HER COWBOY, will release January 10, 2014.

Q. Tell us a little about your job.

    A. Being a firefighter is the greatest job in the world. I moved from my family home in Indiana and relocate to Pennsylvania to join the Appleton team. They’re a great group, even if they do like to push us new guys around. I’m from solid Midwestern stock, so I can take it. I know how to push back. (laughs)

Q. Is expressing love difficult for you? Why?

    A. Once I met Heather Longhurst, I had to hold back my feelings so I didn’t scare her off. I like to think I’ve been raised with good sense where women are concerned. My parents and grandparents proved that true love isn’t a myth. I believe in lasting love, and don’t care if that sounds corny. Truth is truth.

Q. What’s your favorite thing to do?

     A. Aw, come on. I’m a guy. I like sports and I love my girlfriend.

Q. Are there any last words you’d like to share?

     A. Remember this important fire safety rule—find two ways out.

And, of course, I want to tell you about how I met pediatric nurse Heather Longhurst in our story SANTA TO THE RESCUE and how…Well, you’ll have to read the story to find out. At only .99 per copy, I hope you’ll buy extras to send to your friends and family as Christmas gifts or in place of a holiday card. Amazon has a gift buy button ready for that purpose. Easy! After you buy and read the book, I also hope you’ll do me the honor of posting a review.

GIVEAWAY!!! One more thing—author Adele Downs is giving away firefighter Christmas ornaments throughout her blog tour. To enter, answer the following question: What’s your favorite Christmas song, and why? You must tell us why in order to qualify for the prize. Winners will be announced every Saturday through mid-December on Adele’s blog at http://adeledowns.wordpress.com

SANTA TO THE RESCUE by Adele Downs
A sweet firefighter contemporary romance novella
New Release! From Entangled Publishing

Summary:

Firefighter Jamey Tucker knows three things in life to be true: An honorable man doesn't go back on his word, never hurts a woman, and lasting love isn't a myth. But with his recent move to a new job at the Appleton Fire station, the long hours don't offer hope of finding the love he’s looking for.
When Jamey meets beautiful pediatric nurse Heather Longhurst after hearing her sing Santa Baby in a supermarket aisle, he offers her a promise he discovers he can't keep. Heather has been betrayed by men in the past, making it hard for Jamey to gain her trust. Determined to find a way to win her heart, Jamey uses firefighter engine-uity and Heather's favorite song to prove he's got Christmas spirit she can believe in all year.
